Speaker Bio:
Chu Tsz Wing, Principal, Baptist Rainbow Primary School. He has been responsible for the planning of the "Electronic Schoolbag as a Medium for Teaching, Learning and Assignment" programme since 2004. He has been the member of the Executive Committee of the Association of I.T. Leaders in Education (AiTLE) since 2004. Recently he gave a TEDx talk with a topic "Is education to constrain or set free". He has also received an award of Innovative Teachers of Hong Kong and The Best of the Teachers in e-Learning Best Practice 2010 Competition; an award of Microsoft Most Valued Teacher 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Abstract:
This seminar analysed the situation of using technology in classrooms in Hong Kong and stated that students are living in the social network which can access to learning materials anytime anywhere. It also made suggestions for educators to rebuild their schools with technology and new mindset of the teachers.
