Special Issue on Technology-Enhanced Learning and Assessment

Educators across the world clearly recognise the importance of formative assessment and feedback, and acknowledge the various technological affordances in education. This Special Issue focusses on how technology can be leveraged to enrich learning and assessment.

We would like to invite your submissions to the Special Issue in Educational Psychology to share your empirical research from perspectives of educational psychology in the following areas:

​

  • Assessment of, for, and as Learning

  • Big Data

  • Blended Learning and Flipped Classrooms

  • Computerised Adaptive Testing

  • Education Robotics

  • Kinetic Chain Assessment and Learning

  • Mobile and Tablet Learning

  • Social Media/Networking in Education

  • STEAM Education

  • Technology and Education

  • Web-based Collaborative Problem Solving

  • 3D Applications and Virtual Reality in Education

 

This Special Issue is also open to manuscripts that are relevant to the field of educational psychology but do not fit neatly into any of the areas listed above.

Abstract Submission
Interested authors are invited to submit their abstracts online by email c/o Educational Psychology to Prof Ming Ming CHIU and Prof Magdalena Mo Ching MOK, Guest Editors of the Special Issue: edpsych@eduhk.hk. Please entitle the email subject as “Abstract Submission: Special Issue on Technology-Enhanced Learning and Assessment”.

Full Manuscript Submission
Authors of successful proposal will be invited to submit manuscripts. All manuscripts must be submitted through the Manuscript Central site: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/cedp.

Please note the following dates:

​

Phase 1: Abstract Screening

  • Deadline for submitting abstracts: 18 May 2018 (Friday)

  • Authors of successful proposals will be notified by: 22 June 2018 (Friday)

 

Phase 2: Manuscript Review

  • Deadline for submitting completed manuscripts: 28 September 2018 (Friday)

  • Authors of successful submissions for the Special Issue will be notified by: 17 May 2019 (Friday)

 

Expected publication date: Mid to end 2019

​

The review process will follow the standard procedures of Educational Psychology. Each submitted manuscript will undergo a double-blind review process involving at least two reviewers.
